How FloweRescue works
STEP ONE
Collect waste flowers
FloweRescue collects waste/surplus flowers from wholesalers, florists and event producers - those flowers which cannot be sold at full price but, with a little tender loving care, can remain beautiful for a few days.
STEP TWO
Rescue them
Each week we meet with volunteers to sort and process the flowers, composting what is too old, moldy or broken to save and cleaning and rehydrating the rest! Our volunteers put a dose of fun, kindness and generosity into each flower they rescue.
STEP THREE
Spread Joy
Once ready, the rescue flowers head out to bring joy to people in care homes and hospitals, as well as through our charity partners and community art projects.
